We had a tin bath in Bright Street untill the houses were pulled down,to make way for the Ring!!!!! Road in the 60’s.It hung up on the wall outside. Friday nights were bath nights and the youngest (me) was the last in, after the rest of the family. It was filled up with hot water from the old copper. In the winter, if it was really cold, the bath was put beside the fire,in the middle room. Oh happy Days.
Also John, I have remembered to attach the Bright St VE Day Celebrations Picture. I can pick out my sisters Wendy and Janet, my brother Tony is holding me. Also in the picture is my Mum, Mrs Chapman with Grandaughter Janice, Terry Bradfield, Mrs Brown, Mrs Hodges, Grace Evans, Mrs Cook, Mrs Eggleton and Barbara Eggleton. Does anybody recognise anyone else?
