My Southcote

This is a personal record of my time in Southcote Council Housing Estate from about 1953  when my family were relocated from Coley until I left there sometime in 1958.  Some of the pictures below are courtesy Google Maps.  If anyone I have named in this web page objects to being mentioned here, I will happily remove the entry – click here to contact me.

I don’t know when we moved to Southcote but it has to be 1953 or close to it

We moved in at number 242 Southcote Lane which is the house above with the red bin in the front.

I lived there with my mother and my stepfather and three younger half brothers – Robert born in 1946, James born in 1949 and Raymond born in 1952.

My mother’s name was Delva and my step father was Leonard.  Both have passed away.
