Geoffrey (Weller)…Your tale about your poor dad and the boiler did make me laugh…My mum was dead nervous about gas so when dad put the electric in, the gas had to go…At one of her later houses she made him do the same…
And glad someone else remembered Miss White and her pencil.
Did you go home for dinner. Living almost opposite? I did. I might have stayed to school dinners if they’d fed us war time chipolatas from Bert Bristows, with mashed potatoes, fried onions and a dollop of Heinz Beans… Or egg and chips.
