My mother and I have been looking this afternoon at the article in the local press and the photographs and memories on your web site. My mother’s family were the Maskells, 28 Wolseley Street (3 doors away from the Brickmakers Arms). She remembers that where you lived was originally the vicarage and her and friends went scrumping in your garden! She also remembers a lot of people in the photograph and thinks she can add a few more names to faces!

My mum was Winnie Maskell and she used to walk to school (Katesgrove) with Pauline Wiggins and Pat Choules. My mums brothers were Albert, William, Reg and John, she also had a older sister Vera. Her mum and dad were George (mentioned on the Kelly register) and Winifred.
My mum’s family used the Blue Lion pub on the corner of Wolseley Street and so are not featured in the photograph of the Brickmakers Arms outing.
